Supercharge Your Heart With Anthocyancidins

SUPERCHARGE YOUR HEART WITH ANTHOCYANCIDINS:

Anthocyanidins Supports Heart Function:

Numerous research suggests regular dietary intake of anthocyanidin - rich foods may protect the body from cardiovascular risks, these powerful antioxidants can protect the body from the risk of cardiovascular diseases due to them supporting and enhancing blood flow, reducing the build-up of plaque in arteries, and having a positive impact on lowering cholesterol levels. Evidence from clinical trials highlight eating an abundance of anthocyanidins – in particular, blueberries, cranberries, and strawberries, may decrease ‘BAD' cholesterol (LDL cholesterol) and increase ‘GOOD' cholesterol (HDL cholesterol) in the body. Lower LDL cholesterol levels means a reduced risk of heart disease. According to studies, just a couple of servings of anthocyanidins a day is enough to protect your heart.

Where Can You Find Anthocyanidins?

A member of the flavonoid family with powerful plant pigments. Anthocyanidins are found in high concentrations in purple-coloured foods: blueberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, blackberries, strawberries, pomegranate, black plums, aubergine, red cabbage, cherries and cranberries. It's the anthocyanidins that give these fruit and vegetables their colour. An easy way to get Anthocyanin’s in your diet is to put a handful of berries into smoothies, porridge, muesli, add to dessert, eat as a regular snack, instead of reaching for the crisps, biscuits and processed foods, do your heart a favour and opt for the foods that have these beneficial anthocyanidins instead.

Research & Studies

The Iowa Women’s Health Study, which examined 34,000 postmenopausal women, researchers found participants who consumed strawberries and blueberries once per week or more saw a marked reduction in developing coronary artery disease or heart disease. Another large study led by scientists at the University of East Anglia and Harvard School of Public Health validated these findings. The examination revealed women who ate three or more portions of strawberries and blueberries per week lowered their chances of having a heart attack. The research drew on the data from 93,600 female nurses aged between 25 and 42, over an 18-year period.
